MONTGOMERY COUNTY SENIOR GAMES ENTERS 34TH YEAR!!
This year is the 34th time that residents of Montgomery County and the Delaware Valley have gathered in May to compete in an Olympic style-sporting event. After all these years the goal and mission of the games remains the same: to exercise, meet new friends and stay in the game.
The Senior Games planning committee has begun to plan in earnest for 2019. We will be tweaking the schedule a bit to allow for greater flow from event to event. There is no limit on the amount of activities you can participate, however please allow plenty of time for travel and other factors when selecting your events.
The third annual Senior Expo located at the Montgomery County Community College Health Science Center (HSC) will feature demonstrations and numerous vendors. It is held on the last day of the games before our closing lunch. Registration begins February 1, 2019. As a reminder, the closing lunch, bocce and pickleball fill up quickly, so register early!
Many folks collaborate to bring the games to over 500 participants. They include corporate sponsors, municipal parks and recreation departments, Montgomery County staff, Montgomery County Community College staff, Normandy Farms Estates, PA State Legislators and staff, and numerous volunteers. Please thank them when you see them during the week.
After 34 years, as the games continue to grow, the mission remains the same for Montgomery County Senior Games, exercise, meet new friends and stay in the game!
